This book takes us back to Black Creek and takes place shortly after Sawyer agrees to help Cain and Oliver with the Antonelli's. As they come up with a plan, we start to see more of Enzo (Lorenzo) and Dante's life. Sawyer spends most of the book with Cain and Oliver, but towards the last 40% of the book she is with Enzo and Dante. The story is interesting and there are so many different players. I have this feeling there's so much more we don't know and I'm excited to see how the plot progresses.

Right now my favorite guy is Oliver. I don't usually love the one who's into her from the jump, but there's just something about their connection. Sawyer feels safe with him and at peace. She visibly relaxes when she's with him. I like Cain, especially when he banters with Sawyer, but I was a little irritated by him admitting to letting other women service him. I get it wasn't a full service (if you catch my drift) but the best is when the one that doesn't want her can't even fathom being with another woman. I love it because he tries to resist her but can't. So that turned me off a little from him, but I'm sure he'll win me over. We don't know much about Enzo and Dante, but I liked seeing Enzo fight for Sawyer. I have a sneaking suspicion that Dante will end up my favorite. I will say I love Enzo and Dante together πŸ₯΅πŸ˜

As we got closer to the end, you could tell something was going to happen to give us a cliffhanger for book two. I guess I wasn't prepared for how much it was going to hurt emotionally. We got see Sawyer be vulnerable at the end. My heart broke a little for her, but I'm confident it'll work out.

On a side note, I have some theories about a possible spinoff RH from some characters mentioned. I have a feeling that some of the side characters are getting so much attention because they'll play a role in their own story with a certain someone that everyone believes is dead πŸ‘€
