I LOVE this book so much. This was my second book by Jade West. I read Sugar Daddies first in May 2021 and then discovered this book in June 2021. This book solidified my love for her as an author and one of the reasons I've read quite a few of her books. This is one of my favorite books (on BookBub it's listed in my top three) and I revisit it multiple times every month. This book is beautiful and heart wrenching at the same time, which lines up with how Jade tells her stories. Chapter 31 is one of the best chapters I have ever read. It hit me with so many different emotions and I think about it often.

Mark and Helen are absolutely amazing together. You can feel their chemistry from the beginning and it only amps up as the story goes on. It steams off the pages and you just want more of them as you read. The way they connect through art was one of the things I loved the most about their connection. Yes, they're super hot together, but the way they see art together is beautiful. Helen was interesting as a heroine and I enjoyed her growth. She never wavered on her feelings for Mark. I liked that although he was older and a support to her, she was just as much of a support system for him. She helped him through his grief and brought a light to his life.

I honestly love Mark so much. I know he's older and sleeping with his student is bad (although she is legal), but I just see no faults. He is a stand up guy the entire time. He tries to push Helen away because he knows they shouldn't be together. He wants her to experience life and not be tied down to him at such a young age, even though he's pulled to her. The best thing about Mark is how much he adores Helen as an artist. He knows she's talented and he pushes her to be her best self the whole time. He makes her promise she won't give everything up for him and refuses to let her dim herself. Outside of that, the things this man's brain comes up to try with Helen are so incredibly hot. Mark is very focused on making sure she feels good, enjoys herself, and knows how perfect she is. Where do I get my own version of him???

The spice in this book is off the charts hot. Jade really writes some immaculate spice. This book has open door erotic sex scenes that are descriptive that I absolutely loved. Mark does do some dirty talk, but praise is really what he's great at. I love praise so so so much (that probably says something about me lol) so there was no doubt I was going to love the smutty scenes. There's wax play in this book and I was sweating because it was hot. Oh, and did I mention there's a scene with a toy that had me fanning myself? Yeah, Jade knew what she was doing with this one!

My one critique of this story is I didn't particularly love the F/F dynamic with Helen's friend. Now don't get me wrong, I love F/F scenes, but in this story it started to borderline assault. Given what I know about her friend, I understand why these scenes are in the story (it's a spoiler so I don't want to say), but it just wasn't my favorite thing. I think it could be interesting to see Lizzie get her own story with another woman. I would love to read that story.

No little girl should have the thoughts I have...

But they're wrong.
I really do love Mr. Roberts.
I love Mr. Roberts because he's the most amazing man, the most amazing artist, the most amazing teacher that could ever have existed.

And what if...just what if Mr. Roberts wants me, too?
What if Mr. Roberts really does want to Teach Me Dirty?
