I love a good professor/student age gap romance and this did not disappoint!

Nora and Evan were fun to read about and I love their relationship. They have amazing chemistry and banter, but are equally stubborn, which leads to some great exchanges. They see each other for who they truly are when no one else does. These two were HOT. The 🐱 slaps πŸ‘€πŸ₯΅

Evan is grumpy and possessive, but feels a calmness with Nora. He has some trauma in his past that makes him act like a jerk. He's truly obsessed with Nora and finds everything about her, even the things she doesn't like to be beautiful and perfect.

Nora is sweet and nerdy, but full of spice and sass. She's intelligent, witty, and holds her own with misogynistic men. She has PCOS and struggles with her body image. With Evan's support, Nora battles the negative thoughts in her head. It was so powerful to read and made me cry.

My heart broke when Nora said she was trying to live life as neutral as possible. I feel that on so many levels as a plus sized woman. I feel invisible and stared at all at the same time because of my body. I definitely try to minimize the space I take up and live as neutral as I can.

The PCOS rep was done well and I felt seen as someone with PCOS. It's a tough disorder that can be hard to manage. Someone said to me that having PCOS is an invisible battle and it's true.

This book was beautiful and is a good reminder that all bodies are good bodies. You are worthy of all great things no matter what size you are ❤

Thank you to Nichole and Peachy Keen for the ARC!

EVAN
There are lines you do not cross. As a teacher, a professional, a man. Nora Volkov is everything I cannot have and should not want. To the point of madness. My brightest student, shadowed by a darkness she tries to hide, from others, but mostly from herself. I see it though, in tiny flashes of vulnerability when her guard drops. I’m collecting those moments as my obsession with her deepens.

Until one reckless decision tears us apart.

NORA
Dr. Locke is one of the most disagreeable people I’ve ever met. Nothing is good enough. My work, my thoughts, my mere existence seems to offend him. Every interaction with the gorgeous, broody professor is charged with animosity. It’s hard enough to be a woman in my future line of work, taking classes surrounded by men that feel more entitled just because of their sex, but adding the fury from a petulant professor is not something I am prepared for. Until we are forced into each other’s space and begin to peel our layers back one by one.

I used to think hating a teacher would be the worst kind of problem, but I was wrong. Falling in love with him is so much worse.
