Since I'm currently reading a motorcycle club (MC) series, it only felt right to review the book that made me fall in love with the MC trope. When I read this book in 2021, I completely devoured it in 12 hours. I immediately messaged Giana when I was done from my personal IG that she ruined my life in the best way possible with Zeus (IYKYK). Almost nine months later and I still stand by that statement.

Before I get into the review, I want to address the age gap right off the bat since there's some debate about it and move on. I personally loved the age gap and didn't see an issue with it because this book is fiction. I understand that will still bother folks, which is totally okay and I get it.

Zeus and Loulou have such a beautiful relationship and their chemistry is unbelievable. They are one of my favorite book couples of all time. The love and support they showed each other throughout the novel was amazing. I love that the foundation of their relationship is built off of being friends/pen pals. Outside of Zeus and Loulou, I loved the MC family so much. There are so many different people, with so many different personalities and stories, yet they are all so deeply connected to each other. They are a family that shows up for one another and I wanted to be part of it so badly.

Loulou is my girl and completely has my heart. She is strong, fierce, a fighter, a sweetheart, and truly an angel living amongst monsters. Loulou does not have it easy between cancer, terrible parents, and being in the crosshairs of a war going on. Yet through it all, Loulou finds a way to show her love for her man, her sister, and the MC family. She is a true angel fighting a tough battle. I loved that she had so much love and trust in her relationship with Zeus. She knew they were meant to be and she wasn't going to let anything stand in her way. She stood up for herself, Zeus, and the MC. The perfect old lady for the MC's President if you ask me.

Zeus is the love of mine and Loulou's life 😍 This man is just the most perfectly imperfect man ever. He took me by total surprise. I expected him to be cold and mean from the description, and while he could be that way in some situations, he was mostly the opposite of that. He was warm, full of love, supportive, strong, and actually showed his emotions. Zeus absolutely adores his kids and loves his MC family. I never doubted once the entire time the love that Zeus had for his girl. It was so clear from the moment they reconnected that he loved her and she was never not going to be his. The support he showed her through some really tough times is truly unmatched.

I personally thought this book had some good spice that I enjoyed. The forbidden and age gap elements of their relationship definitely amped up the spice factor. I know a lot of people loved the lollipop scene, which was good, but I personally loved the bleacher scene. The jealously coming from Zeus mixed with where they were, and what she was wearing, made it H O T πŸ₯΅ Oh, did I mention there's a scene on Zeus' bike? If you haven't read this book yet, this is you sign!

Description:
*The description comes directly from Giana Darling's website*

I was a good girl.

I ate my vegetables, volunteered at the local autism centre and sat in the front pew of church every Sunday.

Then, I got cancer.

What the hell kind of reward was that for a boring life well lived?

I was a seventeen-year-old paradigm of virtue and I was tired of it.

So, when I finally ran into the man I'd been writing since he saved my life as a little girl and he offered to show me the dark side of life before I left it for good, I said yes.

Only, I didn't know Zeus Garro was the President of The Fallen MC and when you made a deal with the man who is worse than the devil, there was no going back...

This is Daddy Zeus Garro's story from Lessons in Corruption. A standalone in The Fallen Men series.
