This was a solid start to the series that has me excited to dive in to book two. This book sets up the world of Black Creek and begins to kick off what is bound to be a wild ride as the series continues.

I might be obsessed with Sawyer. She's such a great heroine. She's tough, sarcastic, doesn't put up with shit from men, and cares about bettering the world. Are her methods totally legal? No. Do I care? Not one bit πŸ˜‚

Sawyer's harem isn't established yet but we do meet two of her men, Oliver and Cain. They both bring out a different side of Sawyer. I love that Sawyer feels safe enough to soften when she's with Oliver. Cain and Sawyer equally annoy one another but can't deny the pull towards each other. They're certainly not happy about it, which gives us some great insults thrown at each person.

The epilogue took me a bit by surprise mostly because of the spicy encounter we get. I wasn't expecting it for that person, but I'm not mad about it at all 😏 I'm pretty sure the one person will be in Sawyer's harem, but I'm really curious about the other one. Guess I'll find out in book two!
