This book started off well, and I was intrigued by the mystery of who killed Brielle's brother. I was also excited to see her recover her memories with the help of Spencer. I figured out one of the "twists" before it was shared with the reader, and it gave me all the angst I was looking for. I appreciated that we got Spencer's perspective because he could fill in the gaps for the reader. I really do love him, especially how obsessed he is with Brielle and how in love he is with her. There's no doubt he loves her.
I was feeling great about this story, but then I got about 55-60% through and got bored with the story. Parts of it started to feel a bit repetitive, and Brielle was frustrating. I understand she went through trauma; no one is negating that, but it felt like there was no growth with her.
Also, I didn't like that there was a third act break-up/misunderstanding. Normally, I don't mind those because I like a little heartache before the HEA, but sometimes it doesn't fit the story. This was one of those times for me. It felt unnecessary, and I didn't agree with Brielle at all. She knew the game plan, so I don't understand why she was so upset when her memories started coming back. I know what was promised to her, but at the same time, she knew they couldn't sway her memories.
I don't think this is a bad book by any means; it just fell flat for me. I can easily see why so many people loved it. I will say I enjoyed all the side characters. I plan to read the others to see what happens with the other friends. I hope Addison gets a story because I'd like to see her find love again.
Thank you to Corinne and Valentine PR for the ARC!

In one second, my life disappeared.
My past. My memories. My future.
The only certainty I have from the last three years is that my older brother is dead, and I am the only eyewitness.
In order to protect the case, the lawyers demand that no one give me any information about my life . . . I must remember on my own. My only help comes from my brother’s best friend and world-renowned investigative reporter, Spencer Cross.
He has no idea how many nights I’ve spent dreaming of his name—and his body—next to mine.
Now we’re a team and our goal is to recover my memories and retrace my past. But each day we spend together, he’s looking at me as more than his friend’s little sister and I find it harder to want my old life back. Instead I’m wishing for a new one–with him. His kiss feels like home. His arms make me feel safe, and I never want this to end.
As my memories return, forcing me to face my future, everything falls apart... especially when I find an engagement ring hidden in my apartment. I have no idea who gave it to me, or what it means about my past.
I may have asked Spencer to help me remember, but now I wish I could forget.
