Sol was so sweet, caring, and patient with Briar. He never pushed her and made sure to follow her cues. He understood that she had some terrible things happen to her and that he needed to go at her pace. It was cute seeing him unsure of how to seduce her. Sir, you have two ππ. I don't think you needed to do much more π In all seriousness, it was really sweet and he's such a cinnamon roll of a dragon.
Briar is a secret firecracker and I loved it. She was giving "don't mess with my wife" vibes, but about her husband. I was loving every moment of it. Her interactions with Azazel had me laughing. She comes into her own after a tough time, which was wonderful to see.
The spice in this book is HOT. Not surprised because Katee is a spice queen. I will say I didn't expect to like the breeding kink, but I actually loved it.
I enjoyed this a lot, but I do wish we got more of them outside of their bedroom games. I'm excited for the next book, but I want Azazel/Eve's book. She's been teasing it since Bloodlines. I just know they're going to be book 5 and we'll have to wait awhile.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, which is how she finds herself making a deal with a demon. Freedom from her husband…in return for seven years of service.
She expects the service to be backbreaking and harsh. She doesn’t expect to be put on an auction block in a room full of literal monsters and sold to the highest bidder.
To Sol.
A dragon.
He might seem kinder than his fearsome looks imply, but she knows better than to trust the way he wants to take care of her, or how invested he is in her pleasure. In her experience, if something seems too good to be true, it certainly is.
Falling for Sol is out of the question. She’s suffered enough, and she has no intention of staying in this realm…even if she leaves her heart behind when she returns to her normal life.
