This book was a wild ride. I honestly don't think I've ever read anything like this book before. Once the story got going, I was locked in and I'm ready for book 2!

This book is SUPER dark, so I highly recommend checking triggers. I almost never get triggered by books, but this one got me. The writing was so immersive that I felt like everything was happening to me. In my opinion, that's the mark of great storytelling.

Raven goes through so much throughout this book. She has not had it easy at all. She's fighting a lot of different battles and I just wanted to hug her. Her aunt is the actual devil and all I'll say is I'm Team Raven.

Something I love about the sociopath trope is when they never felt feelings, but then they meet the heroine. Suddenly, they have all these feelings that they don't know what to do with. Caelian gives us these moments and I loved each one of them. When he was possessive of Raven, I was swooning. I can't wait for him to realize the moment he falls in love with her. It's going to rock his world 😍
