ARC REVIEW: Moonshot by LM Fox
This was my first book by LM and I enjoyed reading about Ava and Mick! They had me laughing and smiling like a fool at how cute they were. I liked how nervous they made each other. I loved getting the dual POV and getting to see how into each other they were. Mick is obsessed with Ava and I love it π₯°
Ava is a queen, not a princess, after what she deals with. As someone who lives with migraines, I felt her pain so much in this story. Ava is strong and successful, but she wants someone to love and take care of her, too. I feel you, Ava. I loved how Ava put her foot down and demanded the respect she deserved. She made Mick grovel and I love her for it.
Mick was so infuriating. I loved and hated him all at the same time. He was so sweet from the beginning and I loved how he was into Ava from the jump. There was never any doubt how he felt about her. BUT he ruins it by making assumptions without talking to her! I almost wrote myself into the book to shake him π As mad as I was, he then makes it up with his groveling and made me smile like a total idiot. He really won me over with how he took care of Ava π₯°
The hotel scene was hot, but the dugout scene???? HOT. And what he says to her about walking to the car??? I want more of that side of Mick π₯΅
My only critique is I wish the Frozen references were scaled back just a little. Don't get me wrong, I love Frozen, but for me there were a few too many references. I still really enjoyed this book and want more of the other characters. Eve and Carson? π I need that story ASAP.
Thank you to LM Fox and Foreword PR for the ARC!
Book Information
Description:
He calls me Elsa.
Ironic given he’s the one who can deliver a frosty reception.
Yet between the hot physique, smoldering sex appeal, and his warm, sweet smile,
this ice queen is melting for him a little more each day.
I pray he’s not like the rest, giving me the cold shoulder once the challenge is met.
Because I’m ready for the fairy tale.
Mick

There’s no stopping it. I’m falling hard for this elusive princess.
